Description: Hammer completes the options in the Arson Line-up with the Hammer Arson Hybrid. This ball fits perfectly in the middle giving the bowler the combination of control and length in one mid-performance ball. Hybrids are very versatile and can be used on a number of different oil patterns. This ball is known for gripping the mid-lanes yet still arc's smoothly in the backend burning through the oil engulfing the pins! You'll need a fire extinguisher to stop the smoke on this ball.

COMMENTS

With the release of the Arson Hybrid, I was very excited for this release. The Arson & Arson Pearl where favorite pieces in my bag and are used a lot of the patterns that I bowl on. The Arson Hybrid for me actually fits better as the perfect benchmark ball in my bag. The Arson Hybrid is cleaner through the fronts than the original Arson and is stronger overall than the Arson Pearl, but has a nice strong continuation in the backend that most style of bowlers will appreciate.

All three Arson products complement each other quite well. For those that missed out on the original Arson, you will enjoy the extra backend motion that the Hybrid provides and for the Arson Pearl owners that need a more stronger motion, the Hybrid will fit the bill.

I have tried a few different surfaces & like how easily tunable this cover stock is for this ball. Touched the surface on my Arson Hybrid with a 4000 Abralon pad to provide a little bit more length for where I now bowl and this ball is MONEY!

The ONLY weakness that I see in this ball is that it is not for the lighter patterns
(use the Arson Pearl, Nail or Cobalt Vibe for those lighter patterns)

This ball is NOW out & available through all Pro Shops! You will definitely like this very versatile ball – Could be the Ball of the Year for 2012/2013!!

First Impressions:

Smoother blend between this one and the original. Gives me plenty of pop but does not roll out as quick; therefore, retaining more energy downlane.

General Thoughts:

I really did not get to use this ball until the later part of this season; however, when the lanes were over reacting with my First Blood and Ratchet, I turned to the Hybrid and much to my surprise found a good look with it. While it is not as strong as the two I listed, this ball still has its place in the bag. I really like the mixed blend it has for me.

Comparison/Contrast:

Versus the Original Arson

Does not roll out nearly as early as the original. Stays smooth and even and still keeps its energy retention for down lane.

Versus the Arson Pearl

The Pearl has a lot more length down lane and gives a sharper reaction on the dry versus this one. This ball fits perfectly between the original and pearl releases.

Versus the Low Flare

The Low Flare is extremely smoother and gives a slight hint of backend whereas the Hybrid is definitely stronger overall. Both are smooth, but expect the Hybrid to outhook the Low Flare in a side by side contest.

Final Conclusions:

Really aggressive ball in an affordable price range. Very under rated and over looked ball in my opinion because of the length in between it and the Low Flare's release.
