COMMENTS:
The new Hammer Bad Ass has a very impressive ball motion using a symmetrical core and a solid coverstock that are both new cover/core combo for the Hammer line. This ball lives up to the name which rolls very heavily in the midlanes with a strong backend motion that does not stop rolling through the pins and hits so damn hard with the Carbon Fiber outer core.
This ball fits compliments the other High Performance ball s from Hammer, the Black Widow Legend & Deadly Aim. What I have seen with this ball after throwing on a few different lane patterns is that it handles the transition better than any ball that we have in the Hammer line. This ball motion is so consistant and is very versatile ball that you can play on the fresh & all the way left moving into the 5th arrow if needed. I will be drilling up another one of these with a pin down position to give me another look on the lanes to smooth out the fresh patterns for my game. With the cover prep, this ball does get through the fronts with ease, and provides a really strong, heavy rolling motion through the mid-lane that does not stop. This ball does not quit when moving inside and is hungry for more oil, so I would recommend if you are thinking of moving in with this ball, do it. This is definitely a possible “Ball of the Year†winner from the Hammer brand!
Dislikes: Drier lane patterns – there are other Hammer balls for these patterns. The box surface on the ball was a little too under/under for what I wanted to see, so I took the shine off the ball with a 4000 Abalon pad. I would recommend this ball for the medium to medium heavier patterns.
With the new 3 year warrantee that Hammer provides for this ball, this is the BEST bang for your buck!
This ball has a great motion that does not stop rolling in the backend – it really continues through the pin deck! Very versatile ball…
