The only thing better than 1 High Rev in your bag... is a SECOND High Rev in your bag.
I bowled a regional with the first one I reviewed, and saw that the ball had trouble reading the mids, mostly due to layout.  (Stack over ring finger)  I had another at home, decided to put some holes in it and give it a whirl.
This layout puts the pin inder my ring finger, and the CG way out with a hole on my VAL in line with my grip center and the CG.  
I got a great midlane roll with a smooth transition off the dry on the house shot, which is uncommon for the wet/dry overwalls on Long Island.  The ball was very responsive to the earlier rolling layout, and rolled very very well.  I'm shooting my first regional in St Petersburg FL on PBA pattern #1, we'll see if this ball will find a home on the pattern.

I wanted a new ball and it took me a while to decide which one to get. I knew that I wanted to go with Hammer, being the Hammerhead that I am. All I can say is WOW. By looking at the core and seeing that it is nowhere near the size of even a Blade core, it hooks more than any ball that I have ever thrown. Even the Ultimate Inferno.

Condition- Med/Heavy oil (long)
15lbs, 3 inch pin.
Left handed/Tweener
190-195 average.

The ball is drilled with the pin slightly drilled through, above ring finger, CG is swung outside about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. No weight hole. I wanted a fair amount of length out of it. This thing is a hook monster, I am usually a down and in type person, I normally throw it pretty hard to cut the hook down a little. But with this thing, I had to stand over 10-15 boards more and swing it to the outside. When it would make it's turn, it would make a smooth arc, then snap. But what is funny is that when I would miss inside my target, the ball would not take off, it would hold a good line to the pocket. It is one of the most forgiving balls that I have thrown.

Carrying those corner pins:  I use to critisize people for saying "My ball leaves too many 10 pins!" 90% of it is the bowler. Get it high enough in the pocket and you won't leave any. This ball carries the corners on light hits better than any ball I have thrown. I'm not saying that it will take the corners everytime on a light hit, but I did notice better pin carry with this ball.

Overall I rate this ball 10/10. Good job Hammer!

I sold this ball about two months ago but I thought I would post my review.I bought this ball and was told it would do great in heavy oil.I gave it a try and went with the first lay out for max hook.I took it out and tried and was very disappointed,it skidded way to much and wouldn't hook four boards for me.I scuffed it up to 600 grit and this helped a lot but hit hooked to early and had nothing left at all on the backend.I then reset the coverstock to factory box and took it out of town to a house that has med-light conditions.This ball did great I had 2 300 in a 8 game set, this hit was unbelievable,even if i missed by 3 boards it would come back everytime and destroy the pins.I wish now I would have kept this ball for lighter conditions,but I don't bowl on them enough for me to have kept this ball.

i bought this all about 2 months ago. this is one sweet piece imo.
i am just getting around to using it. will use in the league tonight
have bowled several high games with it. just like the name says
it is the highest revving ball i have. i am a stroker
medium to high medium speed. i shoot this out over the 2nd arrow
and it gets down there and then has a nasty backend into the pocket
the ball is not for dry imo. what i like is it is very repeatable
i know when i let it go if i struck. very nice jo by hammer

been struggling with 550's in this league. oh how i do love

Layout:
4.5 x 3.5
Pin over ring finger with the cg kicked out 1.5 inches
X-hole 6 inches from center of span

Brunswick HPL Synthetics (Old)
Christmas Tree Pattern
Ball has a light coding of Rough Buff Solution.
Ball skids through the front part of the lane with ease and then arcs
up hard on the backend. If i bump the dry out down the lane it turns the corner and sets up to the pocket. This ball keeps the pins low and really hits hard especially on light slashers. It can handle a decent amount of carrydown but not too much.

AMF Wood House
Lanes oiled a THS with OB 5 and out.
I was able to start this ball between 15 and 20 and go out to 10 or 8 and back to the pocket. The light hits are guranteed to carry. It's amazing this ball is so smooth. You can play the track or into the oil and out. Plus the High Rev really reacts well with different hand positions.

The High Rev is smooth like the V2 Sanded but with a more continuous backend. ]

This is Hammer's Benchmark ball.

Might also be good for the USBC Nationals in Texas next year.

Punched up one of these for a teammate of mine, put the pin and cg in the gripline(pin below fingers) This bowler has a very low track so this puts the pin not real far from his PAP. I'm very surprised how this ball is so much like the original 3d Offset, the midlane reaction and the big arcy backend are virtually the same. He put it away after 5 frames of trying it out with a big grin on his face, cant wait to see him use it in leauge on the fresh.

Pros: Smooth ball motion
      Solid hit/carry

Cons: None

Overall: I got this one used in a trade and kept the original owner's drilling on it because I've never really used very much pin under middle stuff. Personally, I don't care much for the ball's reaction with this layout. I find it pushes too far down the lane and is a bit over under off the spot for me. That is not, however, the fault of the ball.

The Hi-Rev is the epitome of a benchmark ball. It offers smooth, predictable, readable ball motion that will allow the bowler to get a great feel for what they are shooting at. These are getting harder and harder to find, so if you get the chance, pick one up; you won't be disappointed.

rcv'd from a friend with pin under. Did not like the reaction at all. I plugged it and moved the pin to a over finger, 5" placement. I have to say I love the ball now. I doesnt look like it hit well. but last week I was rolling my Fury and struggling for the first game, 181. switched to the High Rev and shot 267 & 232. throwing the same line. It's a keeper now.
