Definitely a WINNER. You want to talk about filling the void in the raw line.

Drilling: 5.5 X 5 pin up.

Pattern: 42 ft house pattern with 25 ml total volume. 38 ft House pattern with 27 Ml total volume.


Reaction: The Plague controls the mid lanes while adding explosive power. It really reminds me of a blue vibe made stronger and more mid lane play. Depending on the lane condition you play will dictate how you line this puppy up. The Plague responds to changes in hand positions better than expected. This is definitely an upgrade to the Acid and allows for and arsenal fill in the middle but still gives you the high end hit.

The reason you will see that I refer to the Blue Vibe and acid as they tend to be bench mark type balls for the majority. While the Plague is much stronger it is definitely able to move around the lane and play with versatility.

First Impressions:
This ball has a ton of recovery when I thought it would just burn up in the heads when I played deep with it. This is the only ball I have ever thrown playing deep that has actually made the turn back to the pocket instead of being DOA (dead on arrival).

Basic Thoughts:
I believe this ball is going to be just as special as the original Black Widow when it was first released! With its dull OOB, do not let it fool you. When one would think this ball is going to just be all mid-lane and burn up totally in the heads, the Plague gives you a reaction like nothing I have ever seen!

This is by far the strongest ball I have ever bowled with. This ball has mid lane reaction with strong continuation and the key to this precious jem is that it does not quit on you like most dull bowling balls.

Final Conclusion:
If you seek a very aggressive mid lane rolling ball with plenty of continuation and no quit in it. I believe you will see just how special the Plague is in your hands.

First thought: I was looking for a layout for shots with more oil like the shark pattern. Something that would help my ball make the turn and continue to drive. With the pin under my ring finger and the mass bias kicked out, this ball is exactly what I was looking for.

Sport shots: This ball has upped my average by at least 8 to 9 pins during my 3 weeks bowling on the shark pattern. I shot 810 for 4 games the first week on shark, 821 the second week for 4 games, and 796 my third week for 4 games. My next 3 weeks are on the viper pattern and I feel confident to put up the same scores with my Plague.

Now: This ball is now the first ball out of my bag because it is my way to judge how the lanes with play and wether or not I should stay throwing my Plague or switch to something else. This ball always gives me an accurate read which what a great ball is all about. This ball is definitely now one of my favorite balls and hopefully won't be the last from the Hammer bowling line.
