Ball Layout  Pin and CG 3 3/8 from PAP Weight Hole 1" beyond VAL on a line from Center of Grip through the Center of Gravity.   No Surface Adjustments at all

PAP 5 1/8 x 1/8

Ball has a strong predictable roll no real over/under at all

I had a 300 with the ball (First in over 6 yrs) and have had my highest set in 12 yrs a  789 (I had 1028 for Four in that set.)

Needless to say I like the bsll.

Ball layout:  Pin below the bridge....cg out 1/4 in.  Ball clears the heads VERY WELL.  Makes a surprisingly strong move on the back end.  Would have to say this is one of the better balls of recent release.  It will be underrated, but the performance for the price point rivals RotoGrip.

Just drilled the Toxic last wednesday.  I Have about 10 games on this ball.  I drilled it over the label pin at 1:30.  Usually I would like to get 20 to 30 games on a ball before I review it.  But this ball is awesome.  I threw it sunday in our city tournament and shot 801 playing 5th arrow.  this ball clears the heads great, and store's a ton of energy on the back.  I Guess the saying is true "Nothing hit's like a Hammer"  Good job hammer crew !!!!

longer than my pain with huge backend... awesome medium oil ball for the money... slower speeds can get away with it on fresh patterns from what ive seen, but myself, i need to wait for some breakdown or a shorter pattern

Drilled pin above bridge, required an x-hole about 2" above ring finger to remove excess finger weight.

First impression:  LONG AND STRONG!  This ball, with this layout has a ton of backend!

The only way I've been able to use it is to keep my wrist weak and try not to turn it.  The ball just explodes the pins!  If I get too much hand or soft with my speed, it cuts right through the heart though!

First game X X big 4, greek church, X X X X X XXX

I hope once I get some more games on it, it will settle down and not have such an all or nothing reaction.

*UPDATE*  After about 8-9 practice games with this ball, I felt confident enough to use it in league last night and the results were awesome!

255 246 244 = 745!

Thanks for this great piece of equipment Hammer!

Layout: pin above and just outside ring finger, cg on midgrip line kicked out about 30*.
Easier through the heads and stronger backend than the Doom.  Cover can be a little sensitive to the wet/dry oil line, but once the surface is adjusted for the individual...lights out!

I acquired this ball + cash in exchange for my total NV.  The ball was drilled label with the pin right of the ring finger.  Curiosity got the best of me, as the Hammer Doom is my favorite ball in my bag, so I thought I'd give this guy a shot.  All in all, I really like this ball.  I have about 21 games on it, and it does react quite differently than my Doom.  The toxic goes longer and has a sharper, more angular turn on the backend.  The ball revs up really nicely and early, and for the most part is very predictable if you are lined up.  The only downside I've seen so far is that it can sometimes over react when it hits the dry boards (something the doom doesn't do).  The carry on this ball so far seems slightly better than my Doom, but I just have the feeling it may be prone to leaving 9 pins due to its entrance angle and willingness to jump high in the pocket.  I think I made a good trade, and I'll be throwing this ball a lot in the future (That is until I get my second NV drilled pin under!).  Most of the stroker/tweener bowlers will really like the Hammer Toxic.

I just had this ball punched out on Friday night and threw a game with it on Sunday on a burnt house shot, and my was I surprised how much it hooked.  It actually was outhooking my Total NV which is also new.  I started leagues last night with the NV and wasn't getting the reaction/read that I had hoped for, so after a disappointing first game, pulled out the Toxic.  After a few comments about the pukey green color, I was really happy with the reaction I got.  The ball was clean through the heads and pounded the pocket.  I finished with a 235 and 215 for a 620 on the night.  No magical 300 or 700 set first night out, but I was pleased to say the least.  I have to say that I agree with the statement "Nothing hits like a Hammer".  Will post more after throwing it some more, but hopefully this bodes well for States coming up at the end of the month.

Specs on me:
Left Handed
Tweener/Stroker
Ball Speed 15 - 16 mph
Average Revs

Specs on the Ball:
Pin -- 3 7/8"
Top Weight -- 2 3/4 oz.

Specs on my drill are:
Pin about 7:00 from my ring finger 1/2 inch down
Small balance hole at about 9:00
CG -- not sure
MB -- not exactly sure

This is my first post, and I will get better and more knowledgeable I promise.

Ball surface: 4000 OOB
PAP: not sure (right hand)
Layout: Pin under ring, cg kicked right @ 45*, weight hole.
Pin distance: 3" pin
Style: righty, medium revs/stroker
Ball Speed: 15-17
Lane Condition: Fresh THS, heavy synthetics

I wasn't sure of the reaction I would get with this layout, but what I got was even more than I was hoping for. The strength of the Toxic is very misleading. Alot IMO is due to it's "cosmic" colors. You normally associate this color ball, with a light oil ball. NOT THIS ONE!

This ball is ready to hook at the arrows, keep going, and STILL have backend left. Sometimes it's hard to open the lane up, because the aggressiveness makes this thing ready to go left.

I have not adjusted the surface down, only shined up a little more. This Toxic can handle alot of heavier shots, and still has recovery, power at the pins, and a great read. Like the Black Widow, I can adjust left and open the lane up, but it wants to start up a litte sooner than the BW, and overally hook is more.

I believe this and the Widow is an excellent one~two punch. The pin under on the Toxic gives me an early read, alot of mid lane, but still reserves some backend reaction, I believe because of the 4000 surface.

If I'm battling alot of dry, this goes back in the bag, but that's not why I got it for anyway.

Likes: consistentcy, hook, carry, drive at the deck.
Dislikes: alot of dry (but it's not designed for that)

Great ball, and a must have in my book, especially for a tourney.

Likes- This ball is totally awesome on average house shots, the carry is really impressive. Drilled pin over fingers goes long flips hard , thinking of getting another and drilling it even longer.Especially for being a lower priced ball, hoping hammer comes out with something really similar but longer. Been my go to ball, but have to definitely keep up the ball speed.

Dislikes- none really at this point.

I bought two of them, one with 2 and other with 3 inch pin.

I drilled the shorter pin, pin under inbetween fingers cg kicked with weight hole.  This drilling in the past has allowed me a very controllable wet/dry ball.  As the toxic is supposed to handle carry down better than the doom with more angularity, I chose this drilling.

Obb it wasn't bad, was able to play straight on a low volume pattern. Hit very well, and kept the pins low.  Would flip, but not excessive, just like i expected.

For the other one, I drilled it just like my 1 pain, pin over ring cg slightly kicked. Obb, ball read dry way to quickly and made a sharp uncontrollable turn.  Went deep, and created area, saw potential for this ball.

After two months of using these balls probably around 35 games, I can say that they are not winners.  Both balls seem to hit like marshmellows, it actually sounds like glass breaking when the ball hits the pins, 3 other people I spoke to with toxics told me the same thing.

When this happened, I started throwing them on more conditions and playing different lines with differnt releases.  They still hit like sh*t.  So one is in the backyard rotting, and the other is in the basement only because I shot 300 with it the week after I got it.

When I was at the open, not even the hammer staffers were throwing them, and you could have gotten deep with one when bowling b squad.

My toxic is drilled with the pin IN the ring finger and the cg kicked 3 inches to the right and its one of my favs..longer than the widow smoother than the mercy and cleaner through the fronts than the doom. I love the strong backend on house conditions with really impressive power threw the pins. A must for the price. Remember nothing hits like a hammer!!!!

Ball: Pin 4 3/4 from PAP above the ring finger, cg stacked below with a weighthole 2 inches deep in the thumb quadrant.

Lane Conditions: various

I am just posting comments as of now because the jury is out on this ball. I have tried coverstock adjustments that just have not worked. So many of the reviews and threads on this site have the bowlers saying how strong the backend is..........typically for me this layout offers more backend than most and so far the Toxic is a 2nd shift ball.
