If you’re looking for hook, you’re going to want to look at the Hammer Redemption Solid. The Hammer Redemption Solid is a dual-release with the Redemption Pearl from Hammer. Both balls are the first High Performance releases from Hammer under the Brands of Brunswick manufacturing plant. These feature a NEW high mass bias asymmetric core, DOT technology, the same carbon fiber infused core, and the Redemption Solid is by far one of my favorite color combinations: black, orange, and white. This ball even coming out of the box and on the shelf with a dull surface still pops and catches attention.
I used my favorite “pin down†layout now that weight holes are not allowed. Using the dual angle method this ball was laid out with a 45 x 4.5†x 60, if you prefer the vector system this is a 4.5†x 4†x 3.5â€. This ball digs in the oil, reads the midlane, and does not stop continuing! I have been VERY impressed with this release and haven’t had a chance to throw it much locally. Knowing I am going to a tournament with some volume or length in the pattern, this is a must have in my bag.This one is so good, I haven’t had to alter the surface at all.
Comparing this to any ball in the hammer product line, this is the strongest overall motion. This ball really stands out and shows its strength on the fresh. If you’re a higher revolution style or slower ball speed this ball may need a surface change to benefit you. This ball does allow you to chase the transition left, but with more strong core and combination bowling balls it will hit its limit and you would need to ball down to the Redemption Pearl or Fugitive Pearl. If you are in the market for a “game 1 ball†or a bowling ball to give you more traction in oil, you have a grand slam in the Redemption Solid!
