Redemption is a beautiful thing and even better when we are talking about a high performance Hammer bowling ball. The Hammer Redemption Solid ball is bold in color and bold in ball motion. With the combination of the Redemption core and the Aggression NE Solid coverstock this ball hooks like crazy and requires plenty of oil. This bowling ball utilizes DOT and is Carbon Fiber Infused! DOT allows you to drill anywhere on the ball and offers toughness to the ball. Carbon fiber is one of the toughest materials on earth. Hammer decided to add this material to the outer core of this ball for added strength and durability allowing them to offer an incredible 2 year warranty.

Likes: THIS BALL IS A MONSTER!!   There are things that go bump in the night and those things are afraid of The Redemption Solid.  This ball is a beast hooking from all parts of the lane and not dying downlane.  This ball is aggressive and a hook monster but still has a nice shape downlane and retains energy very well.  I actually tamed it down a bit going to 3000 from 200 box finish since initial testing.  The DOT technology is amazing to have letting the ball be drilled from any angle desired which is so cool - combine that with the added Carbon Fiber coverstock and this thing does damage to the pins!

The 2.49 rgis nice to see in a big ball keeping the pins low.  I started with the Redemption Solid and then went to the Pearl and hardly moved when balling down.  Such an awesome combo.  Very much reminded me of my Hammer Rip'd Solid beefed up on Steroids and Scooby Snacks!

Definitely a keeper!!!!!

The Redemption Solid is a big Asymmetrical solid. This ball is great for the longer, heavy volume oil patterns when you need that added traction.   If you like hook with hard hitting power the Redemption Solid is the piece for you.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 40-ish

Volume: light

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Burned out house shot

Likes: The Hammer Redemption Solid is a very aggressive asymmetrical cored ball. It is definitely one of the most powerful bowling balls I've every thrown. The core and cover combination allow for this ball to read very early on the lane which makes it perfect for fresh oil, high volume oil, and or long oil patterns. It will also help out lower rev players to get that extra help needed to get back to the pocket. I practiced with it on a burned out house shot which meant I had to get very deep on the lane and create a steep angle. Didn't matter, this ball wants to curve. You can create big shapes with this piece and it continues well through the pins. It's a pretty special piece.

You will definitely need oil if you want to throw this monster down the lane. First shot out of the box I was able to see how strong the ball was and just how predictable the movement was. For me, I was able to throw it on a 48’ pattern and see a good amount of movement from the start which allowed me to have some cushion from the rest of the field. If you want that scoring cushion and you want to strike a lot, this is your ball.

If you’re looking for hook, you’re going to want to look at the Hammer Redemption Solid. The Hammer Redemption Solid is a dual-release with the Redemption Pearl from Hammer. Both balls are the first High Performance releases from Hammer under the Brands of Brunswick manufacturing plant. These feature a NEW high mass bias asymmetric core, DOT technology, the same carbon fiber infused core, and the Redemption Solid is by far one of my favorite color combinations: black, orange, and white. This ball even coming out of the box and on the shelf with a dull surface still pops and catches attention.

I used my favorite “pin down” layout now that weight holes are not allowed. Using the dual angle method this ball was laid out with a 45 x 4.5” x 60, if you prefer the vector system this is a 4.5” x 4” x 3.5”. This ball digs in the oil, reads the midlane, and does not stop continuing! I have been VERY impressed with this release and haven’t had a chance to throw it much locally. Knowing I am going to a tournament with some volume or length in the pattern, this is a must have in my bag. This one is so good, I haven’t had to alter the surface at all.

Comparing this to any ball in the hammer product line, this is the strongest overall motion. This ball really stands out and shows its strength on the fresh. If you’re a higher revolution style or slower ball speed this ball may need a surface change to benefit you. This ball does allow you to chase the transition left, but with more strong core and combination bowling balls it will hit its limit and you would need to ball down to the Redemption Pearl or Fugitive Pearl. If you are in the market for a “game 1 ball” or a bowling ball to give you more traction in oil, you have a grand slam in the Redemption Solid!
