The Hammer Rip'D introduces the Aggression Hybrid CFI coverstock and is combined with the Rip'D core. This core shape is a combination of the Scandal and Gauntlet core shapes and carries their success. This ball is designed to provide length through the front part of the lane and give a powerful backend reaction when used on medium to heavy oil conditions. This bowling ball is Carbon Fiber Infused! Carbon fiber is one of the toughest materials on earth. Hammer decided to add this material to the inner core of this ball for added strength and durability allowing them to offer an incredible 3 year warranty.

Hello guys, this time we had the chance to try the Rip'D and we had a great reaction with it on our house shot pattern.

The Rip'D is clean through the front part of the lane, but the ball creates enough traction in the midlane to keep it from sliding past the breakpoint and once it hits the friction it provides a strong backend motion without being too angular or skid-flip.

We found the Rip'D to be more versatile than we thought. We were able to play from different angles and the ball always found a good line to the pocket.

We compared the Rip'D with the Rip'D Solid. The Rip'D Solid is stronger overall due to the box finish and the solid coverstock. The Rip'D Solid is earlier, smoother and has a slower response to friction than the Rip'D.

The Rip'D is a great complement to the Rip'D Solid. Once there is a hook spot and you need to open up the lane, the Rip'D will be the ball to go.

Overall, The Rip'D will be a great option for a different variety of bowlers. Low rev/speed dominant bowlers will enjoy the angle this ball creates while playing straighter and high rev bowlers will like the length and the shape this ball provides down the lane.

43' 23 ul 4-1 pattern
also - plenty of friction at this house

Put pin right under bridge which is a layout that I like and have several of

Got this piece as I have been whacking them with my Gauntlet Fury, but not able to start with it.
House shot - have 10 out of 11 strikes in practice, strike in frame 1-2
after that, not able to strike on the left lane, it just kept reading earlier and earlier.
Managed 217, switched to Gauntlet Fury and had front 8, couple 7 pins to 268
game 3 - Track Ultra Heat and the mids were tore up, struggled with terrible motion and managed 180.
The Rip'd is plenty strong and plenty early, A few feet earlier than the Fury and at least an arrow stronger. Ball motion is more arcing than snappy, its just alot

Used it the next night on the 43' challenge pattern and got in right away.
Ball had recovery where others did not.
Brutal tough pattern with no miss room in of any kind and maybe 1 board out if your lucky
Rip'd last for 1 game. mids went away as expected with this low volume pattern

Took it to 1000-2000 + polish for this week, hopefully it will get down the lane a bit further with the surface adjustment

This thing turns the corner with controlled violence and if you need to get in and wheel it at all, this is the piece, when it gets to the pins properly, its flat out over, crazy energy at the pocket.
Mine just needs some tweaking for my use

I just drilled this ball last week and it has quickly become my favorite! First of all this is not a pearl. It has the look of one but the Aggression Hybrid CFI coverstock gives it a completely different look. This ball clears the heads clean but very aggressive on the backend. But the difference is that this ball will still react in the oil. This gives me a great reaction on a typical house shot when I tend to struggle with over/under reaction. This ball allows me to get deep and open the lane up!

Definitely a great option to have in your bag!

The Rip'D hybrid coverstock is great for medium to low volume conditions. The motion I see with this ball compared to the Rip'D Solid is very different. The Rip'D is a little lobby going down lane and sensitive to oil. I need to make sure the ball finds some type of friction in order for the ball to drive through the deck.

The Rip'd Solid and the Rip'd are the best one - two punch in bowling right now. HAMMER REALLY HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD with these two. The Rip'd gets through the fronts, reads just enough of the mids and rips off the spot on the back. You can't ask for anything better then that!!! My Rip'd is drilled 45 x 5 1/2 x 45. The reaction is awesome!!! As stated in my Rip'd SOLID review - these balls are a must have in the bag!!!!! Get to your local Pro Shop!!!

Likes: Holy Cow this ball is strong in the backend. It clears the fronts very cleanly, then you see it pick up in the midlane and the energy it still has in the backend is CRAZY. For a hybrid - this ball is awesome. Keeps the pins a little lower than the Phobia line for me - which is awesome. Get this ball as you will use it on almost anything. No hand No problem - this ball gets up and tears into the lane. Too much hand no problem - This ball gets through the fronts and still gets the reaction you need downlane!

The Rip'D is clean through the front part of the lane, but the ball motion from the Mid Lane through the back end is very strong.

I've used this ball on both long and short patterns.

Short 35ft: This ball came into play after the first game and the outside were broke down a little had to move feet left. Once I moved left a little this ball never hesitated to make move on the backend. I could just keep moving left and the ball was always clean through the fronts and always made the corner. Drilling 60*4 1/2*50

Long 45ft: I was able to stand a roll pretty direct for the first few games and once again the ball had great "pop" on the backend with great carry. Has more games came into play this ball gave me miss both direction, with it's push up front and strong backend. For a guy with a low Rev Rate I don't always get this out of a ball.

This ball will be in my bag for a long time.

Likes: Great when the Rip'D Solid is losing energy and versatile cover depending on what you are looking for in shape League/Sport/PBA patterns. Love how it eases through the fronts and hard hitting on the back. I used 25 x 5 x 30 since my pin placement was 2-3 inches.

Dislikes: I prefer this ball on Sport or PBA patterns. Our Hot Shot hooks and if we get it to the dry too fast it loses energy, but overall great 2nd ball out of the bag to compliment our EBI line!

And itâ€™s got a surface finish that will allow it to be used longer through a set because you can chase it in. Itâ€™s an asym so there will be a limit to that. On the flipside, that shiny surface made it tough to use on a fresh sport shot. I can only assess out of box as a start but knowing what the Gauntlet was capable of with surface, I have no doubt if you decided to put some abralon to this, you will be happy on sport shots. But why do that if you have the Ripâ€™D solid?
