LANE CONDITION

Length:39 ft and 41 ft

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):2016 USBC Open Championship and Kegel Main Street

COMMENTS

I drilled my Diesel by using a 60 x 5 x 65 layout which put the pin under my bridge. This ball was a surprise! Considering it is listed as a mid performace ball, the Diesel gives a lot of hook for that price point! With the trusted Diesel symmetrical core this ball has a strong continuous hook. For me, this ball is about 3-4 boards weaker than my Hammer Rhodman. This ball also has the carbon fiber outer core which carries a 3 year warranty! I will try to load a ball reaction video. If it won't load you can search Average Joe Review on YouTube to see it go down lane.

COMMENTS

The Diesel is a modified / stronger Hybrid version of the popular Rebel series earlier this year and from last year. The new core matches up with all styles of bowlers and will provide a strong continuous motion in midlanes that does not stop in the backends. The Diesel hybrid cover will allow you to play on heavier medium lane patterns and does adjust very well with surface changes if needed.  I love the strong mid-lane motion of the Diesel and think this will be a great 1st ball out of the bag which that will control the mid-lanes on various medium lane patterns. Amazing amount of control throughout the lanes and will be a great addition for the league/tournament bags.

A very versatile ball… You will be impressed with the Diesel, which is available now at your local pro shops!

The Hammer Diesel is a great choice if you are looking for a hybrid ball that will give you a consistent predictable mid lane roll.  This ball will keep you out of trouble on those short to mid length flat patterns.  I like this ball on the fresh, but normally do not stay with it once transition occurs and you have to open the lanes.

COMMENTS
Likes: This was on a 44ft pattern.   Had earlier roll than the Rebel and was smoother off the spot than the Gauntlet.   I great solid symmetric version when the Gauntlet becomes too strong down lane and still want some angle.
Dislikes - Drives so hard I have to put it down sometimes  ;D

The classic Diesel core wrapped in the Carbon Fiber Infused NBT Hybrid cover produces a very strong predictable rolling ball.  especially good for me on the heavy oiled fronts with fresh back ends.  Diesel has enough friction to start rolling and yet predictable enough to truck through the pocket destroying pins.

PAP 5 9/16 Lateral
Slightly Rev Dominant
Layout: 90x2.75"x35

I have been having trouble throwing resin because of the fact that I like to keep my speed slow and I like to bang on it at the bottom. This has led to me throwing urethane (almost) exclusively in the past three years. However, in the event of bowling team tournaments, it might be important for me to find ways to throw resin balls.

I was always looking for a ball with RG 2.50-2.53 with .045-.050 differential. This was the one I chose.

The slower response to friction is a direct result of the layout have allowed me to keep angles fairly straight, but these bigger cores will allow me the opportunity to open up some angles as needed. I have been happy with what I have seen from this ball, mostly because of the ability for me to control it, and it won't be too sensitive in the transition between the oily parts of the lane, and to the dry. Essentially, I get to play in the track for a really long time with this ball, which make me happy. It will give me an opportunity to play a different part of the lane, not just way outside with urethane.

I plan on throwing this as my stronger symmetrical range ball, and am looking forward to drilling the Track Amethyst Kinetic and C300 Nitrous with similar layouts in the next few days.
