The new Deadly Aim from Hammer is a very impressive ball with the heavy rolls that it provides. I really like the new cover/core combo on this ball and the motion that it provides. The Carbon Fiber in the outer-core is a 1st in the industry and I know that you hear it all the time, but this ball really hits HARD… Hardest hitting Hammer ball to date!

I received a short pin so I wanted to drill this ball to be very strong rolling piece for the heavier medium patterns. I will be drilling up another one of these with a pin up position to give it more length. With the cover prep, this ball does get through the fronts with ease, and provides a really strong, heavy rolling motion through the mid-lane that does not stop. This ball does not quit when moving inside and is hungry for more oil, so I would recommend if you are thinking of moving in with this ball, do it.

Dislikes: Drier lane patterns – there are other Hammer balls for these patterns. The box surface on my ball was a little too strong for THS pattern, so I put a little clean/sheen polish on the ball, and rolls much better. I would recommend this ball for the medium to medium heavier patterns.

With the new 3 year warrantee that Hammer is providing for this ball, this is the BEST bang for your buck!

This ball has a great motion that does not stop rolling in the backend – it really continues through the pin deck!

This is the hardest hitting ball I have ever thrown.. I wouldnt say I have a lot of hand.. but I do have alot of speed on the ball for a female and I typically leave about 5-7 10pins on average at league every week... This ball has drastically cut that down.. It even make a wicked sound when it hits the pins like your breaking them in half every time you strike.. worth the money, and looks awesome rolling down the lane with the BRIGHT red orange and yellow

Dislikes:  Unfortunately this ball seems to leave 10 pins like they're going out of style.  Currently I average 2-3 10 pins per game with the ball.  Even worse, I'm averaging a pocket 7-10 split every other game.  The motion on the ball breaks down horribly on heavier oil if you're not a VERY high rev bowler.  Three of us in my league use the Deadly Aim and all of us are lower rev bowlers...the motion on the ball is similar to throwing a dart...aka it doesn't move at all.  It skids constantly well past the break point and it has been incredibly difficult to get the ball to react.  One of the bowlers had to completely strip it down with a 500 Abralon pad to get 5-6 boards of movement out of the ball.  Additionally...I have never thrown a ball that was so speed dependent and is perhaps the most unforgiving ball in that regard I have ever seen.  I cannot recommend this ball outside of someone who is a high rev/cranker style bowler.

Too many balls and reviews anymore reflect the high end rev bowler only.  Even breakdown videos produced by the company are targeted only toward a minimal percentage of bowlers...and that's the real shame in this.  If you want to stick with a hammer ball and you're a lower rev bowler...the Deadly Aim is not for you.  The Black Widow Assassin and Cold Blood would be MUCH better options.

Likes: I wanted the Deadly Aim to be my hook monster for heavy oil.  A ball that's rolls and hits without giving up having the pin drive through the pindeck.   THIS is what I got.   I moved in to about 20 at the arrows and got it all the way out to 8 and the ball came back with a hard heavy roll and drove through the pocket.  I moved 7 and 4 left and still got the roll for a messenger 10.  I leaked a couple out to 3 board thinking the ball would roll up and be DOA - NOPE, it still carried.   The first ball that Hammer has added Carbon Fiber to creating a strong bond between core and cover really does results in pins getting crushed!  Light, high, flush - this ball carries well!!


Dislikes: Do not throw it on lighter patterns. She will make her own friction
