Description: Hammer and TNBA (The National Bowling Association) are bringing back a rendition of the old school Hammer Chalk. The TNBA Chalk has the famous Hammer Assault Core paired with the GTR Pearl coverstock which will give you great control though the midlane all the way to the backend. This ball excels on medium oil. This ball is stated to be stronger in the backend than the Arson Pearl yet less aggressive than the the Arson Hybrid, just to help you place this in your lineup.

LANE CONDITION

Lane Patterns Used:  39' House Shot, USBC Singles/Double Pattern, & 2013 ITC Sectional Singles Pattern (43')

COMMENTS

Ball Layout:  50 x 4 1/2 x 30

Likes: I loved the Assualt Core in the Acid, Jacked, and Psycho... this core is slightly modified to provide a little more backend motion along with the Jet Black Pearl coverstock. This ball is definately very clean in the front part of the lane with a STRONG & BIG backend reaction. As advertised, it fits perfectly in between the Arson Pearl & Arson Hybrid balls. For me this ball worked best on when the patterns were in transition and I needed a ball to recover in the backends when the lanes opened up. I am averaging 250 with this ball on the 3rd game in league the past 3 weeks - winning a few side pots too :)

Dislikes:  For me, I had to change the cover a little bit due to my higher ball speed & rev rate, I like to have my equipment read the lanes earlier. It was a little too sensitive to the lane patterns I played on them on the fresh, which is not the best idea to use a pearlized ball on the fresh patterns anyways.

I think this ball will work great for a few of the lower rev rate bowlers that need a ball to turn the corner when the transition has forced them left of their comfort zone.
Great addition to the Hammer product line and the fact that part of the proceeds from this ball, will go towards to the TNBA Yound Scholarship makes it even more desirable ball to help out the future youth in our beloved sport!

LANE CONDITION

Length:43 ft

Volume:High in the middle and decent units in the track to the gutter

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): House shot yet not the norm

COMMENTS

Likes:Drilled this pin up between the fingers with cg an inch above the center stacked. Had been having issues with this house with carry down even with surfaced balls. Had no issues getting the ball to corner and carry. I have a high ball speed that didn't effect the reaction at the spot. Ball carries great and is a most in any type of bowlers bag. Big TNBA supporter. Go get this ball and prepare to strike a ton!!!!

Dislikes:none

Layout=60x5 1/2x25
Rev Rate=425

All I can say about the Chalk is wow. Hammer defiantly made a good one in this ball. A symmetrical ball that is so smooth for 60 ft. This ball was what I was looking for in sweeper tournaments or late in league when I have a hard time with a ball transition to fast past the pattern or not fighting through the carry down and this ball does all of that. If you are shopping foe a smooth ball that hits hard this ball would be perfect for your bag.

LANE CONDITION
Layout: 60 X 5 1/2 X 45

Length: 40...  36, 36, 39

Volume:Medium to Dry

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS, Kegel Montreal, Athens, Beijing

Likes: All I can say about the Chalk is SMOOTH. A symmetrical ball that is so smooth for the entire lane. If you are shopping for a smooth and controllable ball that hits hard this is the ball. I never had a ball that is this smooth and hits so hard. It keeps the pins low and carry is awesome.
I used this ball on some tough Kegel patterns....Montreal, Beijing, and Athens. The chalk made these patterns look like league shots. This ball is great for medium to dry lanes.

Dislikes:None....I have had success with the Chalk on tighter patterns also, just tighten up my angles.

- The Chalk
- Coverstock: GTR Pearl
- Core: Raw Hammer Assault
- Factory Finish: 2000-Factory Finish Polish

Length:

Volume:

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):Kegel Main Street and Easy Street, USBC Blue, THS etc

COMMENTS:  I was excited to learn of the release of another version of the Raw Hammer Assault core from one of my favorites (Acid) with the GTR Pearl coverstock, and this ball does not disappoint.

Likes: The low RG core and polished coverstock gives me a great look on medium oil conditons.

Dislikes: I did hit this cover with a 2000 grit Abralon pad which smoothed out my look even more, making it one of my current favorites for THS league patterns for a full league set.
