Pin under ring, cg slightly off midline, box finish
Pros: Easy push through heads
Smooth, predictable reaction
Very solid hit & carry
Nice looking ball
Cons: Slightly stronger than what some may expect
Overall: I'm very pleased with the results that I've seen from this ball. I picked it up in order to replace my Tropical Storm, and I got what I wanted. Compared to the Tropical, which was drilled pin next to ring, cg under ring, the Blue Vibe reads the lane a touch sooner and is smoother on the backend. Additionally, the Vibe hits much harder than the Tropical did. The Tropical seemed to just push the pins and let them tumble whereas the Vibe really just seems to rip right through them.
On a fresh shot, I can play up the boards from the outside, or, if the backends are clean, I can move inside as long as I make sure to hit the dry early enough at the breakpoint. When the lanes start to dry out a bit, you can move inside and swing this ball from anywhere. I haven't tried this ball on carrydown, but I think it would handle it fairly effectively, provided you square up enough.
So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a good all-around ball and don't feel like carrying a huge arsenal, pick up the Blue Vibe. It provides a nice all-around look that will fit nicely into the hands of most bowlers.
