IF there's no real reason for you to switch weights, don't bother. This goes against the Rules of Ballreviews, but it's true. Unless you are experiencing fatigue by throwing 16#, or some kind of pain directly related to it that you know for sure will be solved by dropping a pound, then there isn't any point. Just recently I actually switched from 15 TO 16 because personally, I find that I have a better release using 16# (I tend to maniuplate 15# too much, so 16 forces me to ease off). But the key word is personally. Switching weights will not have magic effects. Like some of the people say they gain stamina by dropping a pound. I myself haven't noticed anything; I can still bowl over 25 games with as much ease as I did with 15#.
Throwing 16# is a double edged sword, though. You can buy stuff from ebay and here for a lot cheaper than you would a 15, but the reverse is that you can't sell it for as much.
