First Series w/BWB
« on: February 19, 2008, 12:43:04 AM »
First let me say that I went to a Hammer Demo Day around a month ago and was able to try out the high end line of Hammer equipment. I really liked the Black Widow Pearl and then I tried the Bite. I must say that I loved both of them and I couldn't buy both at the demo day because my wife was bowling as well and she decided she wanted a Bite. After talking with Jeremy Hunt, who was kind enough to travel over 3 hours to come up and stay for the weekend at the demo days, and with my pro shop operator, Eddie Byrd, I decided to get the Bite.

I decided to have a coat of polish put on my Bite because where I bowl on league night, we don't usually see too much oil, usually medium to medium light for THS. I used the ball for two games a couple of weeks ago before the shot dried up and the Bite was too much ball. Shot a 221 and a 237 for two.

This past Friday night I was able to use the ball for all three games, shooting 247-267-223=747.

I have to say that this ball gets through the front end with ease, and then has a very nice arcing motion into the pocket and it just destroys the pins. When the condition started carrying down in the second game, I just moved right a board and a half to two boards and continued to play up 10 to the pocket with continued striking results. If I got the ball inside of 10, the ball was forgiving enough to hold and still hit high pocket and carry. The last game when the lanes started to dry up, I just moved up on the approach and made sure I threw a firm shot.

I am very pleased with this ball and it has exceeded my expectations. It will always have a place in my bag along with my No Mercy, Black Widow Solid and Toxic.

The wife loves her Bite as well as she shot 658 the first night with hers.

Thank you Jeremy for all the time you spent with me and the input you gave me at the Demo Day and to Eddie for your help and input on the ball and the recommendations on the drilling and cover prep.

Congratulations on a nice series.  Sounds like you're going to have many more good series with this ball.
