Brick
« on: December 19, 2011, 10:08:02 PM »
Todays release of the Brick should not be passed up. As in previous discussions the performance of this ball is awesome. Have been using it the past few weeks consistantly and can say that it is one of the best balls ever from Hammer. I have been averaging around 240 in three different leagues and in three different houses with this ball. I have not changed the out of box surface and see no need to at this point. I drilled this ball with pin up above ring finger CG out with hole. What I really like about this ball is the smooth midlane and backend. I can make simple changes and the ball just keeps the same motion. All three houses are different surfaces and use different oil machines. Good luck

it may have been explained before, but what is the difference between the brick and the taboo b/s? especially if drilled with a similar layout.

The brick is a bit earlier and smoother on the backend compared with the Taboo B/S.

thanks for the response. a friend has the Taboo B/S and just bought the new Brick. i did not have a chance to read up on this ball yet. sounds like he can lay out the Brick similar and can use it until the ball either reads too soon, or is not quite as strong off the spot, then go to the Taboo B/S. thanks again!

The Taboo B/S will be the stronger ball of the two. The Brick will be a smoother type motion, but the Taboo is much stronger over all.

drilled friends Brick yesterday. 60* x 4" x 30*, p3 hole. he is a tweener. 40-42 ft house pattern on old wood. the league pattern was tweaked and so the back ends were not as clean as usual. when most guys had no recovery to begin with, the Brick made a solid move and provided a great roll to the pocket.

i agree the Taboo B/S is stronger overall. i think the Brick is a great compliment to the Taboo. i really liked the way his rolled off the spot and will definitely have to get one to go with my Taboo B/S, for when it is too strong!
