Heya Gang... Here is my ball review for the new Black Widow Assassin.
I usually do not match up with this core, but I really like what I see in this ball. PLMK if there are any questions regarding this ball or anything else in the Hammer lineup.

COMMENTS
The Black Widow is back with a vengeance with the new Assassin. I am one of the few that does not match up well with this core, but with the cover/combo (solid cover) I really like what I see in this ball. This ball for me is the closet to the ORIGINAL Black Widow. The Jet Black Taboo for me was too over/under and when I changed the surface, it was too smooth. The Assassin cover/core combo fits perfectly for me on what I am looking for in my arsenal. It is about 4 boards stronger overall than the Jet Black Taboo, with the same clean motion through the front part of the lane & a strong backend finish that does not quit. I can move in with the shot and the ball is not squirty and cuts through the carrydown without a problem. This is a very versatile ball, just like the original Black Widow.
Dislikes: When using it on the drier patterns, it still got through the front part of the lane with ease, but due to my rev rate, it was burning up a little bit.
Therefore, I would recommend it for the medium to medium heavier patterns.
I think this ball will be a must have ball for those that had the original Black Widow or those that missed out on the original.
This ball has a great motion that does not stop rolling in the backend – it really continues through the pin deck! Very versatile ball…
