Which No Mercy do you guys like the best?

I had 3 NM's at one time and really liked the ball.  All of them were a little condition specific but were awesome bowling balls.  What I liked about the NM was the mid-lane read and hard arc type reaction on the back end.  Ball needed to be used on oil!

For those that have used both give me your impressions and which you like the best.

Beat'n at 1k ball is an oil monster that still backends.

For me the no mercy was not a good match, i believe sixpack loves that same ball i sold him though.

The Beat'n is the one I throw too.  For me I need it polished so it can get down the lane, but it's been working pretty good on the tighter pairs at my bowling center.

I have my Beat'n at 800 Scotch Brite for the oily shots and love it (shot 800 two weeks ago), and I have my original No Mercy at 4000 Abralon with 2000 polish and it works great when the lanes break down or they start out tight.  These balls make an excellent 1-2 punch for me!!!

Chi - I have/had both with the same layouts on them.....the Beat'n is longer and more angular.  The Original NM read the mids very stong, but was weak in the backend for me.  The beat'n doesn't read the mids as much and still has pop down the lane.

I threw the Orig. NM ONLY on extremely oily lanes that I need the ball to read it early......I have used the Beat'n on some heavy mediums with success.  



Maine - these 2 balls have the same layout?  From your descriptions vs. my experience with the balls I would think that they would have to....    A dull Beat'n and a polished NM - just seems backwards to me....but obviously it works for you.  Just curious on layouts.

I haven't thrown the Beat'n but I have a No mercy. I had it drilled with the number two drill and then changed to the number 6. Its been the only ball that I've used on the house shot this year. It has a nice strong arc finish and I can play tight or swing it a bit. It is however dying out on me. I was thinking about getting a beat'n but I think I'm going to go with an Anger next. The No mercy will handle most of the oil(medium) that I see on THS even in its current condition. I've seen a few pop up on ebay lately, I'm sort of concerned about how much life would be in any of them. Not a ball that I would buy second hand.

I agree with the NM losing a little bit of it's performance after many games.  All balls will lose some of it's bite after a certain number of games.  I think the NM seems like it loses more because of how strong it is when brand new.  Still a great ball!

The ball i'm most impressed by is the ANGER.  I was shocked at how well this ball has performed for me.  Ebonite has done one hell of a job with the Hammer brand.
