I personally have a Anger drilled pin DOWN w/ cg slightly kicked out. Most videos I see on the net are also drilled pin down.
I'm thinking of re-drilling my Anger, this time pin UP. Anybody out there have a similar layout? What kind of ball reaction may I expect with pin up?

I would assume a touch more length through the heads and a stronger arc on the backend.

If you wanted to delay the reaction a bit, you could take the surface to 4000 Abralon, and/or put some polish on it...

K-Dawg is correct. More length with a more aggressive backend. If your going to do it might as well apply some powerhouse factory finish while your at it. Will be a league beast.

Sounds like what I need! Thanks fellas!

I had an Anger drilled very strong with the pin 3 3/8" from pap, CG stacked. The pin was above and right of the ring finger. This Anger gave me an awesome reaction. The ball was strong thru out the entire lane.
I had another Anger drilled with the pin above the bridge 5.5" from pap, CG kicked right and no balance hole. The ball had decent length and more of hook stop reaction on the backend for me.
My stronger drilled Anger had a lot more continuation. I liked both reactions but would choose the pin above the bridge Anger over the stronger drilled one.

My first Anger was pin up. Got more length with more backend than my 3 3/8" stacked and Rico'd Anger do.
