Title: Another Blue Vibe Question and Drilling thoughts
Post by: KDawg77 on February 19, 2008, 10:04:32 PM
I have all pin up equipment except my SR300 pin in ring finger. I know the BV is a monster and can play multiple conditions depending on the cover prep. I ordered one last night and want to put the drilling described below on it. Your thougths are welcomed. (I'm lefthanded)

My PAP is  5 1/8" over X 3/4" up
Ball speed is approx. 19+ off hand (17.5 on Qbica)
Rev rate is 435 avg.

Drilling: Pin 5" from PAP under my ring finger; CG 4 1/2" @ 45 degrees (thumb quadrant); x-hole down 4" (or so) on VAL.

With pin down you are taming down the backend some. Should be a smooth rolling ball with a medium brake point and arc to the pocket. You are going to like this ball and be suprised by it's hitting power. Best bang for the buck on the market. IMHO!

Yeah, I need something to read the midlane better and isn't as strong out of the box as my SR300. With my hand, generating backend isn't a concern.

I think that should do the trick. I am a lefty and track high like you. I have a number of balls drilled with the pin up. I have just started getting into pin down drillings. I have a couple with the pin below the ring finger and the cg/mass bias kicked. It is a good drill when you want a ball to pick up the midlane just a little earlier and still pretty much keep the same shape. I think you can also play with the cover on the BV to get exactly what you want also. 2cents

I think the fact your putting a pin under drilling will give you a really good mid-lane and arc back end.  This ball will surprise you!!!!!!!!
