the blue vibe is going to be my light medium to dry ball and i was wondering if i would be taking a risk by drilling this ball strong? should i drill it fairly weak?

I drilled mine with my favorite drilling, basic label leverage(pin at 1:30) and the ball has been money for me on medium to medium lite conditions OOB. Taking the cover down and it will work on heavier volumes of oil. It all depends on ones ball speed and rev rate. Know some who put the pin over the ring finger and love it on dryer conditions. Ball is very versitle but stronger than advertised so it would depend on how strong you want to drill it and how dry the lanes really are. Good Luck!

I drilled my pin up (above ring) and it is extremely hard off the dry. It's right about 5x5-1/2, even at this weak of a drilling it is still too much for my main house on their THS. They are a light oiler and have clean backends. I wish I had drilled it weaker, maybe pin down and at 5-1/2x5-1/2. But hey that is just me.

I got a tame drilling on mine. Expected it to be smooth off the dry, oh no this things stills comes off hard. I got it to use in the later games but to my surprise I can use it early and often. I wish I had went ahead and bought it sooner. I think if you put an aggressive drilling on it you'll get a whole lot more than you bargained for. I think it's an excellent ball. I took the surface down and it worked well but I prefer it with polish. Great ball for 80 bucks.

I wouldn't drill it strong if you don't want it strong, this is NOT a real mild ball. It rolls pretty heavy and rips in the back (especially for a solid) drill it weak or live to regret it.

I just my Blue Vibe...for the same reasons.  I wanted a ball for medium to light.  I asked and the ProShop doubled checked with me...I wanted it drilled weaker.  I'll have to post a picture for it's layout.  I'll tell you this...I threw it last night and came to the conclusion...this is my medium ball.  As for light, my BV will be too much.

Overall..the BV is an awesome ball.  I threw a 714 last night and the ball just performed beautifully...nice an easy down the lane...then it picks itself up and BAM..ten in the pit.  I did notice though...I was getting more pin action then I normally do...with my Anger.
