Anyone take the surface down on an Emerald or Cherry Vibe?

Anyone take the surface down on an Emerald or Cherry Vibe? Before I try it, I was hoping to get some feedback. My Emerald is very angular off the spot. I was hoping to smooth it out and move right. Should I try takking it down to 2000 or 4000, with no polish?

I thought about messing with my Cherry and taking it to 200o but it's fairly smooth on our shot anyway. I might actually get an emerald after the holiday though so let me know how that goes if you decide to knock it down. I would try 4000 without polish first then maybe 2000.

I have a Cherry at 2k abralon shot 255 with it last time out with it few weeks back, reads much better and hit increased. Before it was revving forever and was not reading fast enough for me on mediums.

Every bowler is different, so start with the least change(4000 no polish) and work your way down till you get the desired reaction.

I rolled it till I knocked the polish off and it gave me a nice more even roll which I personally prefer.

I tried the emerald at 4000 to start....very satisfied with the results. Much more even, great length, and controllable turn on the backend. Thanks to the few guys that gave some feedback......I'm thinking 2000 would be too much surface on a THS, but PBAX could work.

I have my Cherry Vibe at 2000 and it still gets down the lane but is much stronger on the backend. I believe this surface gave me ball that's good on everything but a flood.

I think from what I can see for a high"er" rev player such as 300 or more revs they will like 4000 abralon as it still skids but tames the backend a lot.
then for the tweener like myself usually finds 2000 abralon gives them extra bite in the midlane.
this is after messing with the original no mercy for both me and my friend "he is the higher rev player" and then also changing his cherry vibe to 4000 (i dont own a cherry vibe)
