Title: Arson Hybrid original versus Arson Hybrid Blue
Post by: LuckyLefty on February 06, 2014, 08:59:17 PM
OK, I like the core.

I have an older oil logged Sauce from Hammer which is basically the same core but an older coverstock.

I  have used it and liked the roll.  I have also thrown a Red Original Arson  Hybrid and sort of liked it at 2000 dull.  It was too much friction for our house though but kept the ball smooth though like most hybrids a pretty good move!

Subbing  in our league a high speed high rev lefty recently shot a 270 300 start to league with the Red on the league shot which is often acting a little sloppy on the back for many symmetrics.

I wonder if the blue one has enough pop on the back for our shot and I fear the Red might be too much for my medium strong hand and softer speed.

I have been using stong assymentric solids smooth but angular.  Or a strong smooth but powerful Grand Illusion that almost has enough backend but not enough area for my taste.

Blue Arson Hybrid or Red?  for this pretty good volume and slightly sloppy back end shot.

The red Arson (solid cover) is smoother overall than the Arson Hybrid. The Hybrid is a little more angular down the lane than the original Hybrid. For me it was 3 boards more... Another ball you might want to check out is the Absolut Curve, which is a little stronger down the lane than the Hybrid... I LOVED the Arson series, but the Absolut series now took place of my Arsons...

Hope this helps!

Plow...

We have another strong handed slower speed bowler doing quite well on the easier  to strike on right in this house with the Absolute curve.

Hmmmmm, almost picked one up the other day also....hmmmm?

Thanks for your input Michael...
