Polishing my No Mercy
« on: June 24, 2007, 05:16:48 AM »
I have had nothing but problems with my NM.  It is to aggressive. I have slower speeds (14-15mph) and the ball flares way to much. I don't have a lot of hand or revs on the ball. I have it drilled with the #1 layout.  Should I try adding some polish to it, to make it go longer or try something different.  I am a lefty and consider myself a stroker.  What should I do to make this ball more usable for me?  Thank you. Most of the lanes I bowl on are medium oil.  I thought this would be perfect, because most of the other balls I use or have tried, Total NV, radical inferno, scorchin inferno, sd-73, angular one, etc. have not reacted very well, they just seem to skid and then don't hook until it is to late.  When I first got the Total Nv it worked great but now it doesnt.  Please give me some suggestions.  Thank you.

As with several others, the #1 is probably not for you, I knew it wasn't for me, so I used the # 7. On my wife's I put the #2. Both work for us. I'd suggest you go back to your driller, explain what it does, what you want and see if either, or in his/her opinion, a different drill would work better for you.

I'm not a big one for keeping a ball polished more than OOB, never know when you have applied to much or the lanes will take more than you expect and then you're between a rock and a hard place.
