I just won a Big Blue Hammer from mybowler.com and I've never thrown anything by Hammer before...always been a Brunswick man. Anyway, what can I expect from this ball (low/med. revs, med. speed, stroker)?

That which doesn't kill you will only make you stronger, that which doesn't make you stronger is a waste of time!

Basically a urethane ball on Steroids. Not a flippy ball or an open up the lane ball. Think of watching Walter Ray bowl and you just about got the idea of the Big Blue.

Thats why they have come out with the Big Blue Pearl version. It will handle carry down much better than the original Big Blue..
I have had 3 of them but sold them all.. I will keep one of the next ones I get..

If they only made a ball that would carry that d*mn 10 pin..

You will absolutely hate this ball...
That's why you should give it to me. I can take it off your hands for free! Isn't that nice?

I've heard that the pearl is a monster too. People are liking it more than the original. The original is a smooth and predictable ball. It works great for some and it doesn't carry for others. I had mine at the pro shop the other day and some of the guys in there just hated it. It's now the 4th option in my arsenal, but I can't say anything bad about the ball. Sometimes I have success with it and sometimes I don't. Depending on how it matches up with your game, you should be able to fit it in somewhere.
