Big Blue pearl
« on: November 14, 2007, 09:01:41 PM »
Drilled one of these today that i'd bought of a buddy of mine. Left the existing layout on it(pin under ring, cg and hole below midline, mb about 3" right of thumb) Ive gone through a few medium condition balls this yr and this is the best of the bunch. Easy through the fronts and a midlane reaction and backend move that are super easy to read. Having thrown a friends Big Blue solid and seen some Widows and Widow pearls in action it pretty much falls in between the early roll/arc look of the Solid Blue and the big backend move of both Widows. My Widow throwing buddy had a few pitches with it and loved the smooth move(he wants to drill a Widow weaker than his snappy one for some control, i think he should hunt up one of these!!) This wont be my last Hammer for sure, almost makes me forget my Red 3D that i could never work out

Adrian,

If your friend is interested, I have a 1.5 drill (thumb was moved), 15 lb. Big Blue Pearl that I'm trying to sell.  Ball is in good shape and ready to go.  PM me with your email address if you're interested and I can send you some photos.

Hey has anyone found that this thing isnt the greatest board crosser? had a couple of 530's from playing my 'normal' angle with it (starting 20 or 25 with my feet) I get a lot better look standing 10 or 15 with my feet and bumping the dry than swinging from inside to the track like with a Revvy ball(my Freakazoid) or a backend monster (Ogre SS) Ah well, i know how to use it now i guess!!
