I'm looking for a video of a NM that curves the most. Please post it if you have one.

I always thought that striking was not about hooking the ball (big curves?) but about the angle of the ball arriving in the pocket, and that you don't have to hook the ball amazing amounts to get the right angle.

Why would someone want a ball that "curves the most"?

A lot of bowlers like the high rev release and balls that hook the entire lane.  Does it make one score better?  No!

I know a couple very good bowlers that throw small hooks and lower revs but have awesome accuracy.  These guys are very dangerous bowlers on all conditions.

With my game I try to throw the most amount of revs that I can and still be accurate.  Sure I can crank it up more but if my accuracy get's worse doing this then forget it.

Now there are times in my game that the big hook is what's needed to score.  It all depends on the lane conditions.  There are times when it's best to move in real deep and send the ball wide.  However it's not always needed.

I think with this post he's trying to see the hook potential of this ball.

Yeah that's all. All I want to see is the potential of hook with this ball.

IMO this thread is kinda useless.  ANY ball, & i do mean ANY ball, can & will hook the entire lane if u want it to.  I can record myself covering the whole lane with plastic if u want.  Hook potential is based more on ther bowler than the ball IMO.  A lot of these stronger balls r WAY too strong for a lot of guys i used to bowl with(lots of hand, not much speed).  At the same time, the equipment they tend to like the most, is the same stuff i would use on dry/toast.

If u r looking for different breakpoints, or breakpoint shape, or even the amount of oil the AVERAGE bowler can use 1 on, then there is something to look for.  Otherwise ur rreally asking to see a strong NM in the hands of someone like robert smith.
