Black Widows length
« on: June 19, 2008, 06:43:49 PM »
I had my brother drill me up a Black Widow in the start of leagues last year and he drilled it to have some length and strong backend.  Well for some reason this ball, it seems, will go 55 feet before it makes it move.  Not that I am complaining but is this suppost to be?  I have never seen a ball go this long and have tons of recovery.  I hate to get a pearl and think that the pearl will go longer, it might not hit the pocket!

At 4000 grit, the BWS gives good length and depending on ones style more length for some than others. I know some bowlers who have taken the coverstock down as low as 1000 for an earlier read and have great success. Don't be afraid to alter the coverstock if needed to get the reaction you are looking for.

I get a stronger reaction with polish than without. Remember to clean this ball after every set or you will be using hotwater bath often.
