Bite Layout Suggestions
« on: January 30, 2008, 08:28:17 AM »
I just got mine delivered today. From watching my friend throw his,
it definitely looks like this ball is 2 to 3 feet earlier than the original with a ton of backend. Plus it can handle more oil.

I was thinking of going with a 50 degree layout with a pin 4-1/2 to pap.

Right Now i have:
1. Anger that is pin 4-1/2 from pap with the cg in the center of grip
2. Black Widow with a 5 x 5 layout, pin under rimg and mb 2 inches right of thumb. This ball is very smooth

I want this to handle more oil with more backend. The Anger is great now but is very smooth on the backend.

What do you guys think?

are you going to put the pin up? that would help generate a little more backend for ya?

i drilled one up for a buddy of mine with 70*, 4 1/2" pin up. he has similar specs as you do. his gets down lane and has a really strong turn at the breakpoint.

let us know how you drilled it and how it works. good luck!!

Jonathan, you should do one of two things here.  I would either drill it exactly like your BWS or just like your BWS but place the pin above the ring instead of below.

If you want the ball to be stronger than your BWS then just give it the same layout.  The cover and core will seperate the reaction because the BITE is supposed to be stronger than the BWS.  If your looking for a lot of back end the place the pin above the ring instead of below.  I would keep the same MB location that's on your BWS.  If you move the MB further towards your VAL you may lose some back end and gain more mid-lane.

Hope this helps bud!
