Just had an interesting experience that I thought I'd share. I've been looking at the black widow for a while now and it peaked my interest. I picked up a used on from a friend and had it plugged and drilled. The other night a league I picked the ball up and threw it for the first time...774. Needless to say, I was totally amazed, I had no idea what to really expect from the ball since I had not had a chance to use it. Here were the scores:
259, 248, 267 = 774.
I was actually on track for an 800 but, a stone 10 in the 10th of the second game stopped that. Almost made it in the last game but, it was not to be. However, I'm thrilled with the widow!

Nice shootin, Fran. We'll have to keep each other in mind for future trades, our spans are almost spot on.

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

Thanks, and the span comment is well taken. I have difficulty finding trades that are close. Mostly because the span for both fingers is the same...I guess it's a little odd. Most times I end up having to move the thumb.

The Widow gets my vote for ball of the year. I couldn't be happier with mine. Great set Fran!!

Thanks, you know it was pretty amazing to just have a ball react so well without having thrown it. I guess a certain amount of luck too. The particular house has been oiling pretty long this season with not much in the heads so, typically what has been happening is that most equipment reads early, looses some energy and then skids in the oiler mids with not much recover on the backend. However, the BW just glided and made a nice move for me. I have been trying to get lined up there all year long...if only I had known.
