over the weekend at the PBA All-Star Shootout. There was a fundraising event last Saturday night and for $5 you had the chance to bowl on the lanes that the PBA stars bowled on for the week. Shoes and balls were supplied if you didn't bring your own. Some of the pros brought out a few of there balls to be used if you wanted to try to throw them.
The shot was the Scorpion pattern or what was left of it after the afternoon sun and heat took its toll on the two lanes. I went up on the lanes to look for a ball and saw the BW Pearl. I asked Tony Reyes if this was his and he told me it was Doug Kent's. Doug came over and told me to go ahead and fire away with it. Doug Kent's span, and finger's are pretty close to my own so I rolled it for five frames. This ball is really clean through the heads and it really has some backend. I was able to throw a few strikes with it so I was very happy.
I am sorry that I didn't get a picture of Doug's layout or anything as my wife was taking pictures and talking to the other pros that were there helping out and giving autograph's and pictures.
I will have a complete summary of my weekend with the PBA stars with pictures hopefully up by later tonight. BeefSTL started a thread about the PBA All-Star shootout and I will post everything in that thread. I just wanted to tell everyone, especially all the Hammer guys about getting the oppurtunity to throw the BWP and get some info on the new Hammer stuff from Doug Kent and Tony Reyes. It was a great time.
