I drilled mine a few weeks ago & I LOVE this ball... most of the Vibes are great pieces for any arsenal...

From what I have seen so far with the Envy Vibe, compared to the Vibe XR (smurf blue), Jet Black Vibe, & Cobalt Vibe... The Envy is in between the JB Vibe & XR Vibe... the XR Vibe hooks the most since the Onyx Vibe and the Envy is about 2 boards weaker overall... This is a great piece that actually get through the front part of the lane and makes a strong continuous motion through the backends... I do not see any over/under like I do with the Jet Black Vibe, which is another great piece. I took my surface down on the JB Vibe to 1000 with FF polish to smooth out the over/under reaction & now rolls awesome!

If you have a chance to get a Envy Vibe without spending an arm/leg, do it. You will be happy in what you see.

Could you please be a little more detailed on the differences between the Blue XR and the new Envy.

I drilled my Blue XR up pin down like 55 x 4 x 75 and it's been great on the funky shot that is see except for my 10 pin leaves which have gone up. (So has my strike % also)

I have not drilled up my Envy yet because of very little info out there. Thanks

Luv.... I am one of those that tell it like it is... There are some balls in the Hammer line that does not match up with my game, but I have seen the same ball match up better with other styles. In regards to the Bowlermart balls... It has the Vibe core in it, which is a great rolling ball, regardless of what cover is on that ball. PLMK what Vibe ball has not been a good rolling piece? That series has always been underestimated by the bowling community until they tried it out.

In regards to the Vibe XR (blue)... There has been a few people that I have talked to, did not like that ball due to the strong layout they put on it & with the cover being stronger, it rolled out & left 10 pins all night long.

TheGom... I would recommend you drilling the Envy Vibe with the pin up. I drilled mine with the following numbers - 50 x 5 x 30.  This layout for me, gives me a strong motion in the midlane, and continuous in the backends... Does not quit. I tend to drill my stuff at 50-65 x 4 1/2"-5" x 30-35 on my pin up pieces... The Vibe XR is about 2-4 boards stronger overall than the Envy Vibe.

I hope this helps out with your questions...

I did a 4" pin to PAP with CG near the palm; pretty normal drilling and this ball is great on medium lane conditions with a strong yet controllable backend move. OOB gave me great length and solid cover was not a jumpy off the dry. Really impressed with the piece. I have a Blue, Cherry, and Grape. Love them all, and this Envy is delivers.
