Pain Review
« on: July 23, 2006, 07:38:01 AM »
Raw Hammer Pain
15.03lbs
3 inch pin
3oz top

Layed out:
4-1/2 from PAP
Cg in center of grip
Pin over ring

AMF Synthetics
Medium oil in the middle and drier on the edge
Oil about 36 ft long
Out of box surface
On this type of medium wet/dry blended pattern
the ball reved up early and had a nice smooth continuous arcing motion.
It squirts a little when you keep it in the oil and bounces a little
too hard when it touches dry. Your release and rev rate have to be
perfect. If i wanted to go straighter in betwen the wet/dry i would use more forward roll and a lower rev rate. When moving inside and swinging out i had to amp up the rev rate a little and make sure it gets down the lane out and
bump the dry to get it back. The PAIN drives hard and really sends pins across the deck especially on the lighter hits. I think this will be a great compliment to the Hammer DOOM and Road Hawg.

Old burnt wood house
Shot oiled 8 to 8 with dry from 4 to 7. I can play the PAIN using a forward roll with good speed from 13 to 7. It hit solid every time. If i got around the ball the ball wood check up early or skid a little too long going light.
Staying in the track was a plus. I used this ball with OOB surface. I am very impress with the carry and hit i get. I am not sure how much carry down this ball can take. But it works pretty good when the shot s blended. I will update you guys more when i try it at different centers.

Great review.  I pick mine up tomorrow night.  I wonder if it hits and carry's like the Doom.
