First let me say that these three bowling balls are amazing.
For this comparison, I used one of my Road HAWGS which was drilled as follows;
Pin below the fingers with the CG kicked out on the midline - weight hole placed 2 inches below the midline on my PAP vertical axis line. (This ball is polished to a factory finish)
BLACK WIDOW Drill Layout
I drill this exactly like the Road HAWG and left the surface box finish.
PAIN RAW HAMMER & BLUE VIBE Drill Layout
Both of these were drilled similar to the Road HAWG besides the weight hole on each is located on the cross of the midline and PAP vertical axis line.
Road HAWG Lane Play
I was standing on 27 with my feet hitting 18 going out to 13 for my strike ball.
BLACK WIDOW Lane Play
(Box Finish) I had to move 7 boards left with my feet and 4 left with my eyes from the Road HAWG. This ball was extremely smooth in the front and when it hit the break point was dead left with an explosion in the pocket.
PAIN RAW HAMMER Lane Play
(Box Finish) I had to move 5 boards left with my feet and 3 with my eyes from the Road HAWG. This ball was smooth through the front with a strong control hook in the mid lane and backend.
(Polished) After putting some polish on the ball, it went further down the lane with a very controllable backend reaction.
BLUE VIBE Lane Play
(Box Finish) I had several options with this ball. I could swing the ball or play a tight line. The original VIBE was a great ball, but the BLUE VIBE hooks more in oil and is a lot more controllable on dry lanes.
