So... I get my first widow Pearl last Thursday to my doorstep and think to myself.. its time to put the money layout on this she-beast...
Like the majority of the widows i have drilled for myself and friends or customers... i popped my pin about 4 inches from pap ( pin above my ring) with a 4 inch pin with the mb 1.5 inches out from thumb... no balance hole and 7/8 finger weight and 7/8 side weight...
i threw it on thursday last week but realized i put to small of a grip in and didnt get a comfortable feel in it at all.. i threw 5 out of 6 strikes with it and had to put it away because it was hurting...
so monday rolls along and i get some more presents from Hammer and get my other Widow Pearls that i ordered(2), along with 2 originals and an Anger...
I was bored yesterday so decided before even getting a good read off my first one.. to drill my second one, to be more predictable and for a heavier condition so i put the pin below my bridge and the Mb about 2 inches out from thumb because the cg was offset right... but it had low top so no hole necessary ...
i started tonite with the pin down one trying to get my tape all fixed and worked out.. i do and go 234, 255 just reaming the pocket with it... the times i missed were my own fault...
the end of the second game i am noticing some slight transition with the ball reacting a bit too soon.. so i figured what a perfect time to use my pin high widow pearl...
i just straight changed to the pin high one in the first frame... and didn't stop
so i shot 789 for three and i had an open in the 8th frame of my 250 so it could have easily been 800 but im not complaining...
just wanted to let everyone know the Widow Pearl is a beast and hope everyone else out there loves theirs as much as i do mine
good luck and good bowling
