According to this shelf talk tag the CV is 1000 grit polished? That would be a significant change from the previous balls in this line.

Considering if an entirely new cover stock, they must have felt the 2000-4000 abralon would cause the ball to skid too long. Max Length must have less friction generation that Max Flip. Brian Graham said is will be more consistent than the Purple. The Blue Vibe was a stronger ball due to the CT-Reactive cover.

if it is 1000 under polish, I may be the first to cut the polish off, sand up to 4k, then repolish. I loved the purples at 4k and polish......
