specs says 4000 grit abralon sanded.
my question is, do i just hit this ball with the 4000 grit abralon pads or do i make my way up from lower grits?
if so, what lower grit(s) pads do i start with?

Start with 400 pads and work upwards (600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 4000), but make sure you rotate to ball 90 degrees to hit all four sides with each step.
