I'm thinking bout taking my BWS down to 2000 grit only because it reacts too similiar to my other equiptment and i was wondering has any one else done this and how did it react for you?

I recently did the same with my bws. It adds about 3-4 boards and tamed the hook a bit but still carries well.

I actually have mine down to 800.  For a while I thought my BW had died.  However I just did the hot bath treatment and it seems like its back to normal.  AT 800, I don't have the hard "snap" that it used to have.   It hooks earlier and not quite as much, but still hits hard and still continuous on the back ends.  I took mine down to 800, as we moved to another house for league this year and the shot is a little bit heavier than where we bowled before.  I was a little bummed, when I thought the BW was dead.  Even bought a Storm Attitude Shift for the heavier stuff.  That ball is pretty good, but in my opinion the BW hit harder.  Now that the BW is back to life, I'm thinking of getting the BW Pearl.  I see lots of people throwing that, and I'm pretty impressed.

Increasing the surface or lowering the grit on any ball will reduce or slow the response to friction on the backend. It will also allow the ball to read the lane a little sooner.
