black vibe
« on: May 07, 2009, 02:35:44 PM »
alright with the other thread that had the specs for the onyx vibe (i call them by the color, not the fancy name) i have already started going over whether to get this one.

i have a blue vibe currently with a 2" pin to PAP. so it is early and controllable and great for sport shots. OOB finish

i have another blue vibe in the basement i was going to punch up this summer and put a ton of surface on it so it can handle more oil and smooth out the backend on sport shots.

my impression of the Black vibe is that it will be a similar to the blue one except stronger and maybe a bit earlier because of the CT plus.

my question is should i go with the blue vibe i have in the basement and drill it as planned with a ton of surface and not get the black vibe OR should i put the blue vibe in something like a 5" pin to make it be longer than blue vibe #1 AND get the black vibe and drill it similar to blue vibe #1 and maybe put a little surface on it?

sorry if this is confusing and thanks in advance for the help.

Since there's no reviews and few have seen the Onyx Vibe perform, how can anyone comment on your question?

Do you know what CT plus is or means? Can you tell us?
How is it taken from CT to CTplus?
That way we can extrapolate what it might mean for the ball's performance.

There are no particles in the Blue Vibe's coverstock that I am aware of. It is CutThroat reactive, not particle. The CutThroat coverstock came in several variations. The particle version I have in my Razor Blade.

Now we need to decipher which cover CT Reactive Plus is. (If we allow the assumption that Hammer would not develop a new cover at this price point.) The coverstock from the Toxic trickled down to the Emerald Vibe, perhaps this is the solid cover of the Anger and maybe even the Black Widow Solid?

Yeah, I'm buying one. The ball-whore in me won't let me do otherwise.

I didn't see a release date on the Vibe but The Raw Burn is to be release June 16th so I would think it would be the same.
