Black Widow w/ stack leverage?
« on: April 27, 2007, 10:16:26 AM »
Just received my ball and was looking at the drill sheet and stacked leverage wasn't a recommended drilling?  Any reason why and has anyone tried one drilled that way?

Thanks

sounds like it is probably a 90deg layout(MB being directly under the thumb) nothing out of the ordinary

The ball has a mass bias, "stacked leverage" takes the mass bias completely out of consideration.

Nick wouldn't that all depend on the MB location (how off set from the pin/CG/MB line)?

The BW flares a lot.  If you put the pin in a strong position like 3 3/8 it's going to have max flare.  The MB location will determine the reaction shape.  If you have the BW drilled stacked leverage and the MB ends up in a position that's far from your PAP it's going to have less of an influence.  If the MB falls closer to the PAP it's going to have a large influence in the reaction.

Yeah, but the mass bias will not always be in the same location with a "Stacked" Pin-CG. This is another reason the CG is insignificant, especially with asymmetrical balls.
