Black Widow with a 1:00 drilling?
« on: July 12, 2006, 04:38:14 PM »
Not quiet a 1:30 drilling with the CG on GRIP CENTER but maybe with the PIN above RING and the CG about 1/4"-1/2" right of GRIP CENTER in a 1:00 fashion.

How strong was the ball with this drilling? And how was the length and backend Continuation?

Thanks!

That's not very nice...

Ric,

That type of pin placement will definitely promote some length, now I see you're planning on placing the CG about 1/4"-1/2" right of grip sent, with this placement, where will your MB fall?  Since this ball does have a MB you can use that to fine tune the reaction you would like to see out of the ball.  Generally keeping everything stacked will promote length and give the ball a nice sharp turn on the backend.  You can also adjust the overall strength of the ball with coverstock tuning, I've thrown my Widow only at 1000 grit, so I can't comment on the OOB characteristics of the coverstock, however, even at 1000 grit this ball does get some length.

Well, the only thing I know is that Loose's Black Widow MOVED on the backend, it was truly a violent move!

Yes loose's black widow and an awesome back end move.  I like the ball and it looks cool as well.

I was kind of wanting the ball to have a strong backend but not be snappy... just very continuous!

Would I be better off to go with the MASS BIAS under the thumb or to the left of the thumb or to the right of the thumb? I'm a righty!

Thanks!

Ric,

Though my Widow definitely MOVED on the backend, I'd hardly consider it a sharp flip-type move, it was definitely a hard arc, but definitely noticable.  I'd say a move that you get from a Doom or a Blade Pearl would be more of a "flip" type reaction whereas the move I get from my Widow is a hard, VERY hard arc.
