Ball recommendation
« on: December 28, 2016, 08:47:08 PM »
I recently purchased the Scandal pearl which I am using as first ball out of the bag on a ths in league.  I am shooting around 205 in three leagues. I was throwing a Jab as first ball out of the bag which was not finishing, leaving a lot of corner pins, not hitting by the time it reached the pins.  I find the Scandal hits hard and carries.  I find by the end of the second game the Scandal hooks too much.  I need ball recommendations for a second ball that will hook less, but hit hard, preferably in the Hammer line, but will consider either  Brunswick or Storm.  Thanks in advance.

From the Scandal Pearl to a weaker Hammer ball, I would recommend the RebeL or Viral Hybrid... the Rebel will be about 3-4 boards stronger overall than the Viral Hybrid... The difference from the Scandal Pearl to Rebel is about 2-3 boards difference, but the Rebel is much cleaner / longer than the Scandal Pearl, so it does compliment each other quite well...

Hope this helps.

2nd the rebel
I also have both the scandal pearl and rebel
I actually took the rebel to 500 + Polish
It was a bit to long for my conditions
Definitely a step down from scandal pearl
My other choice is the swerve fx as a step down piece
And it's a great ball, earlier than the rebel and very predictable
