Burn = Sid/flip Monster
« on: July 20, 2009, 06:58:15 AM »
Just had a raw hammer burned drilled up on saturday. Had a chance to test it sunday night at my local center. Wow, this ball gets through the heads so cleanly and then make a hard snap once it encounters friction. This is exactly the ball i was looking for when the lanes begin to break down and i need to make a big jump left with my feet! This will corner hard enough to carry out the corners that i am always plagued with on broken down lanes. I can probably use this ball on a fresh shot too. I am very excited to use this ball once fall leagues begin. This is my first hammer ball in a while and i think its going to be a proven winner!

Agreed...this ball is absolutely huge on the backend.....I may try some UFO as I have an order going into Valentino this coming week.

Otherwise I am going to have to break out the 4000 grit Abralon pad to get it to read a bit sooner and bleed off some energy.

Someone who has thrown the Burn & the Hot Sauce Pearl ?
I'm looking for a strong pearl to fill a spot in my arsenal, something to go inbetween a Storm Furious & a Storm Virtual Gravity, is the Burn strong enough for this?

My arsenal looks like this for the moment:
Spare
Legends World Class (1000+ games on it, 2.5" pin to pap, use it when I need smooth reaction)
Hammer Emerald Vibe (skid/flip layout - I love it)
Storm Furious (ordered)
Storm Virtual Gravity (ordered)

Since I like the Emerald so much, I'm looking for a 2nd hammer.
What would you guys suggest, the burn or the hot sauce pearl? or any other balls on the market

..Sry to hijack your topic btw, but since it's talk about the Burn I figured why not ask here

the Burn is definately SKID/FLIP!  i took the polish off slightly to tame it
down some.  still has a huge backend, and way stronger than the Hot Sauce Pearl.

Because the Burn is advertised for medium oil, the hot sauce for med-heavy.
But in reality the Burn is stronger?

I just need myself a strong pearl, just wanna make sure the Burn is strong enough

I don't think the Burn is stronger then the Hot Sauce. From what i've seen the burn is a ths dream, but can't handle the same oil the Hot Sauce does. But then again im sure you can do surface changes to make the Burn handle more soup if need be!

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag...some virtual gravity, some hot sauce, a liberator, and a saw.. how can I loose....
