i just purchased hammers hot sauce and i was wondering best way to keep this cleaned and maintained. this is my first good ball ive really ever owned and dont know what method is best to keep it clean. i just got some ball cleaner from the pro shop. should i just spray it down with that and wipe it off? or is there other methods i should be doing also to keep the performance where i want it?

Wipe it with a microfiber towel after every shot.

Clean it with the ball cleaner you purchased after every use. (Just spary it on, let it soak for a moment, and wipe it off.)

Periodically (after 50 games or so) have the oil removed from the ball. You can either pay your pro shop to do it with a Rejuvinator, run it through your dishwasher with the dry function turned off, or give it a hot water bath.

That should do it...

I'm surprised the pro shop wasn't a little more proactive when it came to a customer buying a performance ball, but then again, some shops aren't as good as others.

Hopefully you have a microfiber towel to use to clean your Hot Sauce, if not, that's fine, but these towels do a bang up job of absorbing oil and not spreading it.

Using your cleaner is a good start, just be sure to wipe the ball down after every shot if you can and clean it with the cleaner after every outing. Most basic ball cleaners can't do much good if you allow the lane oils and dirt an opportunity to soak in.

Yes, and hopefully if you bought the ball there they won't charge you an arm and a leg to maintain the polished surface of the Hot Sauce.

Remember, over time a dull ball will get shinier with use and a polished ball will get duller with use. A lot of people complain about ball death and don't realize that a good cleaning regimen isn't enough.
