I would like to Congratulate Doug Kent on his victory at the USBC Masters!!!  He and the Black Widow cruised to victory against very steep competition!  Thank You for showing the world (who didn't already know) that the Black Widow is the bomb-diggity!!!

While I agree that it's more the bowler than the ball, I was at the show today, when Doug was addressing the crowd he said that the Black Widow he threw today was awesome.

I know it was you Chitown. I'm just kidding ya since you're always talking about the Pain being better than the Black Widow on tougher conditions. I really do agree with you to a certain degree about that and they're both awesome balls regardless.

Congratulations Doug!

No prob bud.

I just bought another BW on Sat.  I gave it a try on a reverse block condition during league.  I had to put it back into my bag when the lights came on thoug.  I need to practice with this ball more because i'm just not used to the type of reaction i'm seeing from it.

Doug Kent is a great bowler and you can espect him to be on TV a lot.  I think this guy has one of the best styles I have ever seen.  His style makes it look so easy.  His balance at the line is freaking awesome.

Does anyone know what layout was on his Widow!

the black widow won the match vs the angular one...

Tommy Jones threw (2) very good shots at the end....and carry-down bit the ebonite ball....

meanwhile Kent did throw a couple too wide...the widow cut right thru.

end of discussion.

other two match's...kent basically won...although the widow as stated before saved his bacon at least twice on wide shots

I think Kent's widow was drilled pin under ring finger and the mb to the right.my widow rolls just like what I saw on the show, yes it's the bowler but the widow has that move on the lanes.

No.  Better shots, slightly softer speed and axis rotation won. That's what let Kent have room right.  Tommy threw 2 bad shots when he needed it.  His reaction with the Angular One was equally good.

Sounds like I missed a good show!  Anyone know if they will be replaying this on TV again soon and where and when?

I'm not sure when they will replay it on TV but it should be on strike pass in a couple weeks.

Yes, Doug made the right adjustment but the Black Widow also allowed him to miss his mark by a few boards and still hit the pocket.  This was a combination of a smart good bowler and a great ball
