Someday they will mark those. It took them a few years to start marking the pin placements.

how does the cg get out of line with the the mass bias? does that mean the actual core has flawed weight distribution from what its supposed to have?

Hey Greg, about the same thing happened to me.I had to send my ball back to the BOWLERSTORE due to a crack running left of my middle finger.(25 games)They replaced it no ?'s asked.I get it today and take it to the pro shop and the cg is about 1" left.I told my driller that it looked like it was for a lefty , and he agreed.Luckily for me he has something more in line for me in stock. So, when I go back tomorrow things will be better. Good luck, Mike             Guess when we order balls in the future we will have to send them diagrams of how we want the pin,cg,mass bias to be set up.

My apologies to the mod for the topic header. It was the heat of the moment.

Normally, I wouldnt mind if I was laying out a normal mass bias ball because I would opt for a 45* or 60* layout which would put the CG in the palm or so. But the Beat'n layout put the CG about 2" left of grip center. This unacceptable. I contacted them and they are fine. They even emailed me a call tag so I had it already shipped back within hours of receiving it. I just wanted to throw it on Wednesday.

Is it really that long in it's current oob surface? I was thinking of hitting it with 4K abralon before I even throw it, since, if I scuff my TNV it doesnt move 2 boards. If it's polished it flies. Go figure.

Naturally, the No Mercy Beat'n is what I have termed an "atypical" High Mass Bias ball, so if you used the reccomended layout, it would result in almost requiring a balance hole on the opposite side of the ball. That really bites.

That's what I had to do with an NM that I had last year with the CG 1.5" left of Pin-Hart line to take out the negative weight.  The ball sucked my mistake should have never drilled it.  GregT is doing the correct thing let them sell it to a lefty.

They do not need to be aligned, not align not equal to any flaw at all.

My first No Mercy has the CG in the finger negative quadrant.  I just drilled the right finger to China.  Has about 3/4 negative side, but you can't tell by watching, that ball is nice.

If an asymmetric core were to be perfectly straight and centered, it'd have a 0" pin length.  Shift it 1/16" and you create a couple of inches of pin length.  Shift it the wrong way and you get the CG out of line with the MB.  It doesn't take much being off center or tilted to create first-quality pin lengths, a few 32nds or 16ths of an inch will do it.  You probably couldn't eyeball it and tell a perfect 3" pin ball from one with the CG on the opposite side of the ball.

Well, they were good about. Issued an immediate call tag and the ball shipped back the same day I received it. There must be some real morons in the warehouse. I specifically asked for a 3" pin, 2.5 ounce top weight, and the pin-cg-heart in a straight line, or, if necessary the cg can be to the right. I don't think thats too hard to understand.
