In need of a good heavy oil lane ball

Hello, ive started bowling with my girlfriend. Weve recently moved to a heavy oil lane, she shoots a 160 avg. So i was thinking something along the lines of a ebonite total NV, or maybe the hammer no mercy total beatn. Any other suggestions under the pirce of $140 good for heavy oil lanes would be appreciated, thanks.

Alrighty, ill look into the anger, like you said its a pretty low price of just about $100. Thanks and if anyone else has some opinions id appreciate them.

Don't forget that $100 ball doesn't have any holes in it.  You might get a TNV or NMB for $140 but you still gotta get it drilled.  You might save some money, it depends strongly on the area you live in.  Make sure you budget for drilling.  If you only have about $140 to spend to get her on the lanes with this ball, then a NMB isn't going to work.

Further, the Total NV is not exactly a heavy oil ball.  Pearl balls with mirror finishes tend to, you know, skid, and that's not the usual "heavy oil" reaction most people look for.  The Beat'n is more of a heavy oil ball.

Make sure that a heavy oil ball is really what your girlfriend needs.  I'd stay away from oddball, strong asymmetric cores like the Beat'n's, too.  The Anger is supposed to be a good ball for the price, and it's got a simple symmetric core.

"she bowls conventional"...Never seen her bowl, BUT..I'd suggest you take a look at the GameBreaker. IMO a better ball for how she bowls than the Anger. I think she'll have a hard time keeping the Anger in/to the pocket.

She bowls conventional?  Does she hook it?  I assume that she does or you wouldn't give a flip about heavy, medium, or whatever oil.

never had a Pro Shop charge me for a drilling if I bought the ball form them.

The Anger would be a good ball for the price

The best balls that I can think of at that price are the Ebonite Gamebreaker and the BVP Mammoth

The Resurgence. It's a very predictable ball that will turn in soup. Also I don't believe you'll find a ball that hits as hard as this ball.
The Beat'n surely must not be all it was supposed to be, if all the Hammer fans are pushing the Anger.

REMEMBER EVERYONE(She throws a conventional grip ball).I would have her get a semi finger tip drill if you are going to spend that kinda money.That way  she can learn how to hook the ball a little and not leave the 5-7 split every frame. Just my .01.  Mike

The rival is a beast and hits like a truck for only $130 and my friend owns an anger drilled the same way(right hander, and more revs) and my rival out hooks his anger

I know those stats doesn't sound like much but I was supprised myself. I got it drilled pin under with the Cg kicked out(side weight after x-hole was 3/4oz), and kept the OOB finish
