Like NOTHING I've ever rolled before. I told my pro shop guy about this idea and he said he was interested to see how this ball would look going down the lane. Well, it's very early and smooth. Eliminates the big backend. This ball will help me incredibly on over under shots. I like what I see so far..

well it's neat to try new things.I don't think I would have done it to a ball like the NM but to each his own I guess.

my blue vibe is almost the same. it has the no.4 drilling for high trackers. so the pin is way the hell over where you have it but the cg is in line with my ring. smoothest ball i have ever thrown. my favorite on any sport shot

I only had it on a fairly fresh THS so far, but it seems to do well on it. It so smooth though, that if I try and swing it out too far I may wash out with it.
This ball will really be great on over-under conditions.

No doubt that a layout like this is not for swinging to ball away from the pocket.  This is a great layout for tough patterns that play really tight.  I'm curious how well the NM works with this layout.

You mean you didn't have one drilled like this at some point? Just every other layout huh? lol.

lol. you very well might be right, just seemed like he had 12 or so of them at one point. I'm definitely not bashing him, don't worry. I have nothing but respect for chi.

Your pretty much correct.

Actually I use the same exact pin placement on 95 percent of all my equipment.  I use pin above bridge 5.5" from pap.  I will change the CG/mb position and add or not add a balance hole.

I have found thru many years of experimenting that the pin above the bridge pin placement work very well for me.  

For me I prefer to let the covers and cores separate the reactions in my arsenal.  

Now I will from time to time use a different pin placement just for a drastically different look as I did with my new T-road solid (pin above and a little right of the ring 4.5" from pap) but for the most part it's pin above the bridge.

I feel if you find a layout that works really well for you then it's wise to use that layout on most of your equipment.  Just let the different covers and cores separate the reactions.  Each ball is going to show it's own characteristics even with the same layout.  Pin above the bridge with the Blue Vibe is still going to give a slightly different reaction shape than Doom with the same layout.

I think i've owned about 5 NM's at one time or another.  I did experiment with different layouts on the NM but never used a pin axis layout.  In fact, i've never used a pin axis layout on any ball but wouldn't mind trying it out.

Now i've probably owned about 10 Dooms at one time or another.  

I did a lot of experimenting on Hammer bowling balls.  Keep in mind most of the bowling balls were bought using winnings from my league.  My league has very good money in pots.  Without those winning I wouldn't of been able to experiment like I have.

I found out some interesting things while expermenting.  I learned that most bowling balls can be used on most patterns if the coverstock is adjusted to the correct grit for the pattern and bowlers style.

I also found out that one particular layout worked far and above better for me than the others.  I would of never found this out if it wasn't for experimenting like I did.  Now I know what works for me.  It sucks buying a ball, getting it drilled and not being happy with the reaction because you wished you would of used a different layout.  Those days a pretty much over for me.  I know what works and what doesn't.
