I think both will do fine under the BWP.
I have both the CV and Doom drilled the same way with a 5.5in pin to pap over the bridge. Both go about the same length down the lane. The CV reads the lanes sooner and move smoothly, yet strongly to the pocket. The Doom is far more angular, and tends to just "read and turn".
I can stay in the same area a lot longer with the CV. Whereas the Doom in OOB finish tends to be a little "jumpy" once it reads the dry. On a drier condition both still clear the heads easily and get great length down the lane.
Between the two I prefer the CV. Mainly because I like the way the ball reacts. It never gets too jumpy no matter how the dry lanes are. As long as I keep my speed/release consistent...I can play a tighter line without covering as many boards and moving deeper unlike the rest of the players on the lane. Furthermore, carry seems to suffer with Doom when carrydown is present. The CV keeps the pins low and pushes them back. The Doom tends to scatter pins (so it carries better on light shots)...but for everything else, it seems to be more prone to leaving corner pins standing.
