A friend fell in love with this ball, when they were re-issued. Now, of course, he's looking for a replacement for when his current one goes. I told him it was too late to get a New BV. So I'm wondering which ball in their lineup is closest to it.

There's the Onyx which probably needs to be drilled slightly weaker.
Would that bring it close to a Blue Vibe's performance, in absolute terms?

I suspect that with the right surface and right drilling the Backlash Blue/Silver could come close. So, does anyone have a Blue Vibe and this ball? AND will a light polishing on this Backlash do the trick?
(Yes, I know the core is a lot weaker.)

I suspect the Onyx is the safer bet, but I have not thrown either the Onyx or the Backlash.
