Hi Hammerheads, I am thinking about picking up a Cobalt Vibe for my daughter to replace her Cherry Vibe which cracked all the way around.I'm just looking for general impressions from any of you who have thrown the ball, and opinions if this would be a suitable replacement for her previous Vibe.

The Cobalt Vibe would be a perfect compliment for a replacement of the Cherry Vibe. The Cobalt would be a smidge stronger overall than the Cherry, but will be a great ball overall for your daughter to use. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Michael.Does anyone else have any thoughts?

I would agree completely with Michael's comment. The Cobalt is maybe just a little smoother overall as well than what I remember my Cherry Vibe being, but they are extremely close.
The Cobalt is my favorite vibe i've had in quite, its not overly strong and if there is some friction the ball will shine.

+1 on these comments. From what I've seen, the Cobalt is going to be a little stronger compared to the Cherry. But, it seems to be smoother overall. She should have no problems with it and can still play her favorite lines easily while having additional options because of the stronger cover.

Thank you very much for your opinions, I think I will take my daughter to drill up her new Vibe this week.

any vibe ball is going to be great
i had 6 blue vibes and peach"pink" vibe
the vibe"s" work on any lanes!! heavy to light.. sport or house shots!
Amazing balls!!

Took my daughter to the shop today, and drilled up a new Cobalt Vibe for her.Once it was ready, she threw three games, and really seems to like it, but I will say that it is noticably stronger than her Cherry Vibe. Thanks for the assistance gentlemen!

Great to hear and I'm glad we could all help.
I did a little more research on the Cobalt and the big difference between both is that the Cobalt uses the pearl cover from the Black Widow. However, the benefit is that she will have additional options for her favorite lines on top of what she already had with the Cherry Vibe while still being similar in overall reaction. Also, the additional cover strength can allow her to open up a lane a little more too while still having good control. Definitely a nice ball in the price range and versatile too.
Best of luck to her and hope she continues to enjoy it.

Do not think you can go wrong with any Vibe.
This is a great line for Hammer

The fact that he Cobalt was stronger overall didn't catch me by surprise,It was more or less what I expected.I was more concerned about length due to my daughter's slow ball speed, but thusfar, everything looks good.My concern now is that we may need to pick her up a true dry lane ball, because her high school team practices on toast.
