Which two of these 3 balls is the best way to go?
« on: June 08, 2008, 03:28:42 PM »
In looking at the new releases coming out, I am curious as I'm not too familiar with Hammer equipment which way I should go.  Is there too much overlap in the Psycho and Venom, or would that be a good combination?  Or would a green Vibe and Venom be a better choice?  Thanks for the help Hammer experts.

Don't be surprised if no one else answer.

Reporting from the future its the 1st August. Two weeks past the official release date of the Venom (Worldwide Release Date July 15th) and almost six weeks since i got the Psycho (Worldwide Release Date June 17th).

After having enough experience and training sessions (about two weeks) i can tell you this:
The Psycho compared to the Venom will be much...aaaaaaarrrgh Flux Machine is going down........connection lost..........

lol. Going based on what the balls are supposed to do, I would suggest the Psycho and Venom. The only reason I say that is because it seems like the Emerald and the Venom are going to provide almost the same type of skid-snap shape, whereas the Psycho will start a little earlier for you.

To make the gap a little larger you could as well drill each of the two balls to their strengths, and do a skid/flip layout on the Venom, and put a more early roll layout on the Psycho. This would/should make them even more different from each other.

Again, this is pure speculation as I haven't thrown any of the new stuff yet, so take it as just that. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Wow, someone who was actually able to assertain what I was really asking in my question.  Thanks Matt.  Obviously, only the green Vibe is out yet, so, of course it's a guess based on the specs provided, and previous balls in the Widow and Raw lines.  That's originally what I thought also, the two balls you mentioned, but wasn't sure if they might be too close in overall hook.  I do like the idea of laying them out to their strengths and making them gap more defined as well.  And of course this would all be avoided if companies didn't get our hopes up, and put out pics and info a month and a half to 2 months before balls release dates, lol.  Thanks again Matt, give me something to think about over the next few weeks.

Hello again thegame,

i send you a PM. Glad to see people that can get a joke without being crude or flaming the the hell out of this forum. Anyway i just ordered my Psycho just because i am (like must forum members) a ball-PSYCHO. I will see how it reacts for my teammates and put a proper drilling on it to fit my arsenal.

Bowl well.
